April 2021 security patch is here for Honor 20S

Honor has started pushing out the April 2021 security patch update for the Honor 20S smartphone users in China. This is the first device to grab the April 2021 patch update and the latest update rolling out with software version 10.1.0.112. As usual, this update is rolling out in batches, and users are advised to keep patience, you will get it soon. The latest update is based on Magic UI 3.1, check the changelog below.

This security update includes the CVE announced in the April 2021 Android security bulletin. It includes 17 High levels and 69 Medium levels of CVE’s.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Via Support: Open app -> Services Tab -> Update -> CHECK FOR UPDATES -> Download and install.

Via Settings: Open System Settings -> System -> Software update -> CHECK FOR UPDATES -> Download and install.

Honor 20S smartphone runs on Android v9.0 (Pie) operating system. The phone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 810 Chipset. It has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
