Breaking: Huawei is working on tri fold screen phone

As per the latest report from Taiwan’s “Economic Daily” and “Science and Technology News”, the Chinese tech giant, Huawei is reportedly working on a new “tri-fold screen mobile phone” and has already begun large-scale stocking for this purpose.

Rumor suggest, this device is coming soon and it may adopt a Z-shaped (or S-shaped) form. The folded phone screen size is about the same as that of an ordinary smartphone, about 6.4 inches. The panel supplier of Huawei’s folding screen phone may be BOE.

However, the company has been working with suppliers to develop a three-fold screen mobile phone since last year. The product has now entered the final design stage and can enter mass production at any time. It is expected to be launched as soon as the second quarter.

According to sources, most folding screen mobile phones currently on the market adopt a 16:9 or 18:9 design, which folds into a square shape; tri-folding screen mobile phones use a 28:9 or 18:9 design, which folds into a 4:3.
