In September 2023, Huawei introduced the new Mate X5 smartphone with a 7.85-inch display offering a resolution of 2496×2224 pixels. It also features a 6.40-inch touchscreen as its second display, with a resolution of 2504×1080 pixels. The smartphone also comes with a 12GB of RAM.
It runs HarmonyOS 4 and is powered by a 5060mAh non-removable battery. For optics, the Huawei Mate X5 on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera; a 13-megapixel (ultra wide-angle) camera, and a 12-megapixel (telephoto) camera. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring an 8-megapixel sensor.
The Huawei Mate X5 measures 156.90 x 72.40 x 11.08mm and weighs 245.00 grams. It was launched in Feather Sand White, Feather Sand Black, Feather Sand Gold, Aoyama Dai, and Phantom Purple (translated from Chinese) colours.
Connectivity options on the Huawei Mate X5 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, NFC, and USB Type-C. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
