EMUI 10.1.1.212/216: October 2020 security patch rolling out to Huawei Nova 7 Series

Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro 5G smartphone users in China are now receiving the new software update based on EMUI 10.1. The latest update comes with software version 10.1.1.212 for Nova 7 and 10.1.1.216 for the Nova 7 Pro 5G and it brings the October 2020 security patch. Check the changelog below.

Huawei Nova 7 Pro 5G features a 6.57-inch full-HD+ 1080×2,340 pixels OLED curved display. The smartphone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 985 5G SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. Internal storage is offered up to 256GB. The dual-SIM (Nano) Huawei Nova 7 Pro 5G runs on EMUI 10.1, based on Android 10.

About the camera concern, it has a 64-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.4 aperture, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with f/3.4 aperture. The telephoto shooter offers 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom. There is a last 2-megapixel macro camera as well, with f/2.4 aperture.

There is a 32-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The Huawei Nova 7 Pro 5G packs a 4,000mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge fast charging support.

Huawei Nova 7 5G smartphone runs on Android v10 (Q) operating system and it is powered by Octa-core (1×2.58 GHz Cortex-A76 & 3×2.40 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4×1.84 GHz Cortex-A55) processor. The smartphone gets Kirin 985 5G (7 nm) inside. It has 8 GB, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage.

As far as the camera concern, users get a 64 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 8 MP, f/2.4, 80mm (telephoto), 8 MP, f/2.4, 17mm (ultrawide), 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro) camera and on the rear, there’s a 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP camera with features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus. It is backed by a 4000 mAh battery.

Download from your system settings option: Tap on Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates and Download it!

Download from Support App: Go to Support app > Services ->Update > Check for updates.
