Huawei has started rolling out the July 2021 security patch update for Huawei Mate 20 X and MediaPad M5 users in Europe. The Mate 20 X users have been received the July 2021 patch in the form of HarmonyOS 2 but this update is only for China market, global users still waiting for the stable version of HarmonyOS.
Huawei Mate 20 X and MediaPad M5 getting July 2021 patch update is rolling out with software versions 11.0.0.155 and 9.1.0.381 respectively.
The firmware of the Mate 20 X is accordingly not large. You have to download a modest 284 MB. But even with the MediaPad M5 10.8, the download is not particularly large, despite the extensive changelog, only 373 MB. The July 2021 security patch for both devices includes the changes mentioned in the changelog while the MediaPad M5 update comes with new apps.
