HarmonyOS 3.1: Huawei written 239.6 million lines of code and 16000 own APIs

HarmonyOS was initially launched in 2019 and at the latest HDC 2022, Huawei has officially announced that the devices running HarmonyOS are now exceeded 320 million.

Now, many of you wondering to get to know about the code line count of the HarmonyOS system have. According to data released by Huawei, they have written an additional 19.04 million lines of code in the past three years.

At the recent HDC Huawei Developer Conference, Gong Ti, President of Huawei Terminal BG Software Department, announced some data. The 2019 version of Harmony OS (Hongmeng) 1.0 has only 4.92 million lines of self-developed code.

By 2022, according to Gong Ti’s information, the amount of code in HarmonyOS has increased to 23.96 million lines (HarmonyOS 3.1). Comparing the two sides, Huawei has written an additional 19.04 million lines of code in the past three years.

In 2019: HarmonyOS 1.0
4.92 million lines own codes and 3473 own APIs.

In 2022: HarmonyOS 3.1
239.6 million lines own codes and 16000 own APIs.
