Huawei 5G
According to the information, Huawei and industry partners have recently completed the world’s first laboratory test of 5G high and low-frequency CA (Carrier Aggregation) technology, achieving a single user download rate of 5.2Gbps. This also means that CA technology has obtained technical verification in high and low frequency synergy, and a solid step has been taken for the large-scale commercial use of millimeter waves in the future.
It is understood that the test adopts SA (Standalone) independent networking, high frequency uses 26GHz (n258) frequency band, based on single carrier 200MHz, low frequency uses 3.5GHz.
CA aggregates 5G high-frequency and low-frequency spectrums to simultaneously take advantage of large high-frequency bandwidth and good low-frequency coverage, thereby ensuring the continuous high-rate experience of 5G users.
On the one hand, CA technology is closer to signal to process on the radio frequency side, and can sense signal fluctuations in time, so that the base station can better perform offloading and scheduling, and improve transmission efficiency.
On the other hand, the technology can support both NSA and SA networking architectures, and the network architecture and evolution are very flexible. Furthermore, considering the basis of the CA technology that has been adopted between the various frequency bands of Sub6G, the high and low frequency CA is conducive to the unification of the architecture and distribution points, and enables the evolution of the full-band 5G network.
