Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G to go on sale Feb 7, Check pricing [Malaysia]

Huawei introduced its Mate series smartphone the Mate 30 Pro 5G in Malaysia. Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G is priced at RM 4199 for 8GB + 256GB memory and will be available on sale starting February 7, 2020. 5G is currently being trialed in various testbeds in Malaysia, including Langkawi in Kedah, as well as Subang Jaya and Cyberjaya in Selangor.

Huawei said its Kirin processor 990 5G SoC integrates processing units and a 5G modem on the same chip, allowing it to support 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. It is also equipped with 21 antennas, of which 14 are for 5G, which the company says is to ensure stable high-speed connectivity.

The Mate 30 Pro 5G also boasts a rear quad-camera array with a 40-megapixel SuperSensing camera, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera and 3D Depth Sensing camera.

The 32-megapixel front camera allows for 3D Face Unlock, which is part of the smartphone’s dual-biometric authentication that also includes In-Screen Fingerprint.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has a 6.53in OLED screen with 2,400 x 1,176 resolution and a 4,500mAh battery that supports fast charging.

The 5G device comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard memory. It will be available at Huawei Experience Stores and through local mobile operators including Maxis, Celcom and U Mobile from Feb 7. Huawei stated that Digi will also be offering its smartphone, though it did not specify when.

Customers who purchase the device will also receive gifts including a Huawei Care one-year warranty extension and wireless in-car charger worth a total of RM537.
