Huawei Mate 50 to support LTPO technology

We are very close now to see Huawei’s next flagship phones next month. According to the latest information coming from Weibo tipster, Digital Chat Station, the new Huawei Mate 50 series will use BOE’s new screen and support a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, the phone was rumored to support up to 2160PWM high-frequency dimming.

The new Q9 substrate used in this screen reduces power consumption by 15% compared to the previous generation, the DCI-P3 color gamut is increased to 116%, service life is increased by 10%, and harmful blue light is below 6.0%.

We may see the notch screen, which can realize various functions including active face recognition unlocking. There will be a ring-shaped rear camera layout, containing a 50 MP rear three-shot, including a periscope telephoto lens, and an exclamation point-shaped flash above it.

It is worth noting that the logo of Huawei Image XMAGE, a brand new brand that Huawei just released earlier this month, appears in the center of the camera module of the phone. Huawei Mate 50 series is expected to launch on September 7, 2022.
