Huawei has officially launched its latest foldable smartphone, the Huawei Nova Flip. A compact 2.14-inch OLED cover screen sits beside the dual cameras. Inside, users will find a larger 6.94-inch LTPO OLED main screen with FHD+ resolution and adaptive refresh rates of 1 to 120Hz. The cover screen is handy for selfies using the main camera and checking basic information like weather, music, and calendar. The Huawei Nova Flip will be available for purchase in China starting August 10.
The Huawei Nova Flip also features a capable camera system. Its main attraction is a 50MP camera with a large 1/1.56-inch RYYB sensor. This is paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera.
While Huawei hasn’t officially revealed the chipset or RAM, Geekbench listing suggests the Nova Flip uses the Kirin 8000 processor. This chip also powers the Huawei Nova 12 and 12 Pro.
As for software, the phone runs on HarmonyOS 4.2, offering smart features like subject removal, text extraction from images, and image generation. Powering the device is a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
The Nova Flip comes in four stylish colors: New Green, Sakura Pink, Zero White, and Starry Black. Pricing starts at CNY 5,288 ($744) for the 256GB model. For more storage, there’s a 512GB option at CNY 5,688 ($798), and a top-tier 1TB model for CNY 6,488 ($911).
