Huawei has announced that the company will release the new P40 series smartphones in Paris, France on March 26. Huawei phones with the model numbers ANA-AN00 / ANA-TN00 (Huawei P40) and ELS-AN00 / ELS-TL00 (Huawei P40 Pro) received the 3C certificate. The Chinese telecommunications authority TENAA has also already approved these smartphones.
Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei Technologies Consumer Business Group, at Huawei Virtual launch conference presentation on February 24, 2020, revealed that the Huawei P40 series will be the world’s most powerful 5G flagships.
The Huawei P40 series includes the standard version Huawei P40, the Huawei P40 Pro, the Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition. The flagship phones are expected to launch with the Kirin 990 5G chipset.
The leaked image shows, the upcoming Huawei P40 Pro has multiple front cameras and even a 3D ToF sensor. The screen of Huawei P40 Pro also uses a curved design.
According to previous leaks, the Huawei P40 Pro will be equipped with a Kirin 990 chip, a front 32-megapixel dual camera, and a rear-matrix Leica five-camera module, 10x optical zoom, including a 52-megapixel Sony IMX 700, supports up to 16-in-1 pixel technology, 1/1.33-inch sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, a macro lens, and a ToF lens, and will also be integrated with a periscope telephoto.
