According to IDC’s latest “China POL Market Tracking Report, 2023H2”, Huawei ranked first in China’s POL (Passive Optical LAN) market share in 2023. This is also the fifth consecutive year that Huawei has ranked first in the market .
As the policy of “optical fiber replacing copper” gradually promotes the elimination of copper cable networks, national policies have also increased guidance and support for the construction of all-optical networks. IDC predicts that China’s POL market will grow by 13.1% in 2024, with a market capacity of 2.03 billion yuan; the compound growth rate in the next five years will be 14.5% , and the market size will reach 3.53 billion yuan by 2028.
Huawei said that the F5G all-optical campus solution has more than 8,000 commercial customers worldwide. In 2023, Huawei released the next-generation F5G all-optical campus 2.0 solution and a series of flagship optical terminal products. Based on POL technology, optical fibers are sunk to rooms, desktops, APs, and cameras, etc., to achieve unified carrying of all business types with one optical fiber in each scenario , achieve higher reliability through passive ODN networks, and support future-oriented elastic expansion and flexible evolution.
