Huawei is gearing up to unveil its most awaited Mate 60 series in September/October this year, creating a buzz among tech enthusiasts. One of the standout features in the series is the under-display front camera, presenting a groundbreaking design referred to as the Smart Island. This innovative concept is might be similar to the iPhone 14 Pro series and has been teased through various GIFs circulating online.
Reportedly, the Mate60 series will debut with HarmonyOS 4.0 as its operating system. Huawei had previously experimented with the Smart Island interaction on the Mate 40 Pro model.
HarmonyOS 4.0’s development involves adapting the long bar-shaped screen UI and introducing the highly anticipated “Smart Island” feature. This exciting addition enables users to intuitively view text messages, notifications, and experience interactivity with various apps.
