Huawei Supplier Carbon Emission Reduction Conference 2024

Huawei recently held the 2024 Supplier Carbon Emission Reduction Conference at Huawei’s Bantian Base. More than 1,000 suppliers from around the world participated in the conference in a live + live broadcast format.

Focusing on the conference theme of “Green and Low-Carbon, Win-Win Future”, the guests at the conference benchmarked the industry’s best practices, jointly discussed the paths and methods to achieve green and low-carbon development, and jointly built a green, low-carbon, and sustainable industrial chain.

Peng Bo, director of Huawei Group and president of Global Procurement Certification Management Department, attended the conference and introduced industry development trends, Huawei’s sustainable development concept and carbon emission reduction expectations for partners, and commended suppliers with outstanding carbon emission reduction achievements.

“Huawei will pilot digital energy services first, guide suppliers to reduce carbon emission intensity through green procurement rules, and convey to suppliers the target requirement of reducing economic intensity by 7% year-on-year by signing suppliers’ green carbon reduction targets and behavior commitments.”
