Back in 2019, Huawei established its car-making business. In 2021 Huawei claimed it was able to make nearly $1,450 profit per every car sold in China.

You will be glad to know that Huawei started its automotive business with just 70 people and now it employs over 40,000, it has nine departments five dedicated to autonomous driving technology, smart cockpit, electric products, networking, and cloud services.

The whole amount is currently noted as $500 million in its automotive business so far. Huawei entered strategic partnerships with Seres, Chery, BAIC and JAC Motors where it would be responsible for the technology underpinning the cars built by the companies.

AITO is one of the brands benefiting from Huawei’s input, cars developed together with BAIC will be sold at Huawei’s showrooms.
