Huawei has started rolling out the first January 2021 security patch update to the Huawei Nova 5 and Nova 5z smartphone users in China. The Nova 5 and Nova 5z smartphone users getting the January 2021 patch update based on EMUI 10.1 and it comes with software version 10.1.0.97.
This security update includes the CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) announced in the January 2020 Android security bulletin. It includes 4 Critical, 25 High levels, and 1 Medium level.

Go to Settings -> ‘System & updates’ -> ‘Software update’ -> ‘Check for updates’ -> ‘Download and install’.
