Respiratory health research functions for Huawei Watch 3 series are now available

Huawei Watch 3 series was officially launched this year with a round AMOLED screen dial, 3D control crown button, and more. It offers health monitoring features, eSIM support, MeeTime calls, third-party app compatibility, about 100 sports modes, long battery life, smart controls, etc.

The Huawei WATCH 3 series is a smartwatch that focuses on battery life, ecology, and health. A major feature of the watch is to support the respiratory health research function. This function was not synchronized when the watch was officially launched. Now, according to the information, the Huawei Watch 3 series users are now getting the new software update with the firmware version 2.0.0.216, and the respiratory health research function is finally online.

It is reported that Huawei and Tongji Hospital affiliated with Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology jointly initiated respiratory health research. Huawei WATCH 3 will enable intelligent identification of body temperature, respiration rate, blood oxygen, heart rate variability, and other information, and achieve respiratory infections.

According to the blogger, the updated version 2.0.0.216 can install respiratory health research applications to achieve preliminary screening for lung infections. The user’s health data such as body temperature, blood oxygen, respiration rate, heart rate variability, and cough sound from Huawei wearable devices are used for lung infection risk screening.

In addition to the respiratory health research function, this update also brings features such as rope skipping mode, family care, and support for custom text messages for quick replies.

Huawei Watch 3 Pro Specifications:

The Huawei Watch 3 Pro is built with a Glass front, ceramic back, and titanium frame. It is 5 ATM water-resistant (50m water resistant) while the dimension of the device is 48 x 49.6 x 14 mm and weighs 63 grams.

It also supports eSIM along while the display size is 1.43 inches AMOLED that provides 466 x 466 pixels and the PPI density is 326. It is fueled with a Li-Ion battery + Wireless charging 10W.

It is integrated with sensors such as Accelerometer, gyro, heart rate, barometer, compass, SpO2, and thermometer (body temperature).  The device is pack with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. It runs on HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system.
