Sony PS5 40 Million News
Sony officially announced that it sold more than 40 million PlayStation 5 units globally. The latest gaming console was launched back in November 2020. Jim Ryan, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) said the brand initially faced supply chain issues shortly after the launch mainly because of COVID-19-induced issues.
He said, “There are over 2,500+ games available for the PS5 now, including launches like Diablo IV, Final Fantasy XVI, and Street Fighter 6.”
Ryan says that a great addition to the PS5 generation has been a range of accessories. “Over the past two and a half years we have unveiled new ways gamers can customise the experience and bring exciting colours into their homes. We developed a range of colours for the DualSense wireless controller and PS5 console covers. These accessories have proven really popular as players want their PS5 to reflect their taste,” said Ryan.
