Huawei officially announced that a total of 9 Huawei and Honor devices including Huawei Enjoy 20 5G will get the HarmonyOS 2 stable update, and 6 devices including the HUAWEI nova 8 SE Active Edition will start public beta recruitment.
Now, the company has made another announcement regarding the HarmonyOS 2 stable update for old devices. According to the timeline, there are a total of 16 Huawei and Honor devices that will get HarmonyOS 2 stable update in early December 2021.
Huawei HarmonyOS powered devices have been reached 157 million units, third-party devices based OpenHarmony reach 60 million units. Wang Chenglu predicts that the third-party Hongmeng equipment will reach 100 million by the end of this year. Huawei is confident that Hongmeng equipment will exceed 300 million by the end of this year.
In addition, the global distribution of HarmonyOS software applications reached 5.1 million+ developers, 170+ countries and regions, and the cumulative distribution of applications reached 332.2 billion (January-September 2021).
It is reported that hundreds of models have been upgraded to Huawei HarmonyOS 2. In the near future, Huawei HarmonyOS 2 will be open to upgrades for more models, including many old phones and tablet products from Huawei and Honor.
